With the vote about unionization approaching, you might wonder why graduate students at Duke and Harvard rejected a union.
Q. Why did graduate students at Duke and Harvard reject a union?
This past year, union organizers from SEIU and UAW attempted to unionize graduate students at Duke University and Harvard University. Graduate students at both schools rejected the union for a host of reasons, including the fact that once unionized, “it is nearly impossible to decertify.” Read more about why Duke graduate students chose NOT to be part of the SEIU at Students Against Duke Unionization.
