Providing Transformative Student Experiences
Implement and assess new structural changes in
the Undergraduate and Graduate Student Division. The
following changes have been implemented.
- Hired Laura Doane as the
director of orientation
(undergraduate).
- Initiated Academic and Community
Excellence (ACE) Fellows in
dormitories.
- Revised policies for faculty
residents in dormitories.
- Integrated graduate students
needs more fully into the student
services operations located in
Dowling Hall.
Strengthen and improve the athletics program and
connect it to the core mission of the university.
A comprehensive internal and external review of the
athletics department was completed. The
recommendations of the review will inform the
development of a new vision and strategic plan for
the department that is consistent with university
vision and goals. Implementation of the strategic
plan will include changes to the organizational
structure and developing updated and refined
policies and procedures both aimed at defining and
supporting clear programmatic priorities.
Encourage community through creative
programming.
Sustain and develop programs that replicate the "Fan
the Fire" model using active citizenship to fuel
school spirit.
Create a position for Coordinator for
Prestigious Scholarship and Awards Development.
Anne Moore has filled this position in the student
division.
Strengthen career services for graduate
students.
Collect data and assess the BLAST program's
development.
Initiate a late-night program. Consider keeping
Brown and Brew open for twenty-four hours.
