The Tufts European Center is located in Talloires, France.
Built in the 12th century, the property was purchased in the
1950s by Tufts graduates, Donald and Charlotte MacJannet. The
couple used it as a summer camp for several years before
donating the campus to Tufts in 1978. Talloires sits on the
shore of Lake Annecy in the French Alps, an hour's drive from
Geneva, Switzerland. Every summer, the campus hosts numerous
programs ranging from full credit courses for undergraduates
to internships for engineering students at a local stainless
steel processing plant.
