Edith Auner
Coordinator of Applied Music, Director of Outreach
Activities
Edith Lowe Auner, pianist, is the Coordinator of Applied Music and
Outreach at Tufts University. She holds an M.M. in Piano
Performance, New England Conservatory of Music, and a B.A. from The
Colorado College. Ms. Auner performs as a soloist and chamber
musician. She was the founding director of the Stony Brook
Pre-College and Community Music Programs 1997 - 2006.
Since her appointment to the Tufts music department in 2006, Ms.
Auner has begun community music programs for students 3 years old -
adult and developed outreach programs for Tufts music students to
work with Somerville and Medford middle school music students. Edie
has run a program for adult chamber music in Talloires, France. She has
performed as a soloist with the University of Chicago Symphony, the
Lake Forest Symphony and Dupage Symphonies of Chicago, and with the
West Islip Symphony in New York. In addition she has collaborated on
lieder and chamber music concerts in Germany, France, and the United
States.
