Tufts Alumni Choral Weekend

April 7-9 2017

Overview

All Tufts music alumni are invited to join current Tufts Director of Choral Activities Jamie Kirsch and the Tufts Chorale for a reunion weekend from April 7-9, 2017. The weekend will culminate in a concert featuring Mozart's Great Mass in C minor on April 9. Any alumni who can attend all of the rehearsals that weekend may perform in the concert. Any alumni attending all or part of the weekend must register with the Tufts Chorale Student Board of Directors (see section on Registration below). The schedule for the entire weekend is as follows:

Friday, April 7, 2017

6:30-8:00pm Welcome Reception in Granoff Music Center Lobby
8:00-10:00pm Tufts Third Day Gospel Choir Concert in Cohen Auditorium, Aidekman Arts Center
(Tickets will be provided for any alumni who wish to attend)

Saturday, April 8, 2017

Breakfast on your own
10:00am-12:30pm Mozart Rehearsal #1 in Distler Performance Hall, Granoff Music Center (scores will be provided)
12:30-1:30pm Lunch (provided for all alumni)
1:30-4:30pm Mozart Rehearsal #2 with Orchestra in Distler
4:30-4:45pm Break
4:45-5:15pm Group Discussion
5:30pm Dinner at Dewick-MacPhie Dining Hall with current choir students (provided for all alumni)
After dinner Alumni are encouraged to explore the Tufts and Boston performance scene that evening. A listing of events taking place around campus and town will be made available.
6:00-10:00pm "Clark Era" BBQ: Andy Clark and his family invite all alumni from 2003-2010 to his home for a reunion BBQ (120 Monument Street, Medford, MA - 1.5 miles from campus)

*Concert Dress for Sopranos and Altos: Floor-Length Black Dress or Skirt, or Black Pants with Black Shirt; Black Shoes

*Concert Dress for Tenors and Basses: Black Tux or Any Black or Dark Suit (no tails); White Shirt; Black Cummerbund or Vest (if possible but not required); Black Bow Tie or Long Black Tie of any kind; Black Shoes

Registration Information

All events for the weekend are free. Any alumni attending all or part of the weekend must register with the Tufts Chorale Student Board of Directors via this registration form. The deadline to register is March 30, 2017. If you have filled out and submitted the registration form in error, please resubmit a new form and include your name along with the word "CORRECTION" in that box on the form.
