Advisory Board and Program Committee

Confucius Institute at Tufts University is governed by an Advisory Board and a CI Program Committee.

The Advisory Board, appointed by Tufts, consists of members from Tufts and BNU. It provides advice to CITU on CITU's various activities, including teaching, research, culture programming, fund raising, annual budget proposals and other matters.

The CITU Program Committee, appointed by the Dean of Academic Affairs for Arts & Sciences, comprises Tufts faculty and staff with expertise on Chinese language, culture, politics, history and society, and/or experience working in China. The committee reviews qualifications of proposed Chinese staff and proposed and implemented activities of CITU to ensure that they are in accordance with Tufts' policies and educational priorities.
