The Medford/Somerville campus is only 6 miles from cosmopolitan Boston. This location provides easy access to all of Boston’s cultural, intellectual, and employment opportunities, but since we are located outside of Boston proper, parking is easier and nearby housing is more affordable. Just to the north of the city are the beautiful mountains of nearby New Hampshire and Vermont, affording convenience for outdoor activities as well.

The Office of Student Affairs has a robust listing of off-campus opportunities, and a staff member who meets with students to find off-campus housing. GSAS runs a forum for incoming and returning graduate students to connect about various issues, and often about finding a roommate, a neighborhood, or things to do in and around Boston.
