The Department of Education recognizes the uncertainty of the current moment and how unsettling this can be. Like our students, faculty and staff are processing what it means for our campus to close and for our classes to move online for the remainder of the semester. In our work, much happens outside the classroom. Often the spaces and relationships outside of class are the ones that support, affirm, and sustain us; we look forward to finding ways to cultivate this aspect of the work in this new phase. For students in field sites, we will continue to work with you to consider the best course of action for completing fieldwork. Please know that although courses will not be meeting in person, faculty are available to offer support and guidance as we make this transition.
Other campus resources, including Student Accessibility Services, Mental Health Services, and the International Student Center, are also thinking creatively about how to provide continued care and support to students. Please reach out to these offices, as well, should you have questions. Here's a link for all the contacts you may need.
Our faculty are committed to ensuring that all our students will complete their courses by the end of the semester. We are preparing and training to provide course content and to host course meetings remotely. Our faculty will reach out to you via email or canvas to provide more guidance for their specific courses.
