Community Music Program

Tufts Summer Music

The Tufts Community Music Summer Music program for kids ages 7-12 will run for two weeks: July 20-24 and July 27-31, 2020 at the Granoff Music Center, 20 Talbot Avenue, Tufts University Medford/Somerville Campus. Students in the program will sing, drum, take instrument lessons and Orff classes. At the end of the two weeks, there will be a concert presented by the students for family and friends in beautiful Distler Performance Hall, and faculty will present a concert for students and families at the end of the first week. Most participants come for both weeks.

Tufts Summer Music is part of the Tufts Community Music Program and the Department of Music. The program will run from 9 am to 3:30 pm each day (with after-care available from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm for an additional fee). For summer 2020 there is no longer an option to attend for just one week. We are only offering the program as a two week program.

Tuition for the program is $825 - limited scholarships are available. If you are interested in the program, please apply as early as you can. Lunch is included in the tuition and will be eaten in a Tufts dining hall.

The faculty will include Charley Blandy, Jerry Bussiere, Lauren Caso, Yank'l Garcia, Jeff Rawitsch, Yukiko Sekino, Holly Stumpf, Edie Auner, and Tufts student musicians. Learn more about the instructors.
