Dr. Marfeo is an Assistant Professor within the Tufts University Occupational Therapy Department and Assistant Professor at Tufts University Clinical and Translational Science Institute. Dr. Marfeo is also the Director of the Health & Productive Aging Lab at Tufts University. Dr. Marfeo’s research interests include health outcomes measurement development, work disability, and productive aging across the adult lifespan. Specifically, Dr. Marfeo implements both quantitative and qualitative approaches to investigate the interactions between environmental demands, adaptations, and aging affects a person’s participation in productive activities and community engagement. Dr. Marfeo’s research specialization and clinical background as an occupational therapist allows her to bridge gaps between health services research and clinical applications of that research. Dr. Marfeo’s approach to research integrates paradigms of disability, aging, public health, and rehabilitation research.
