Biography

Adrienne Eldredge's PhD is in Literatures, Cultures, and Languages from the University of Connecticut, in the field of French and Francophone Studies. She has nearly ten years of experience teaching French, including language, literature, and culture, at multiple universities in New England. Her research interests include seventeenth-century French literature and early modern French and Italian theater, with a focus on emotions. This work has led to conference presentations, invited talks, and a forthcoming article. Her dissertation entitled "The Italianization of les passions in 17th-Century France" explores the existence and value of emotions in Italian and French theater.
