The Entrepreneurship for Social Impact minor provides students the opportunity to combine their interests in Civic Studies and Social Entrepreneurship. This innovative minor will provide students with additional pathways to be civically engaged and support communities.

Six courses are required for the minor, including two required courses that include the foundational course in Civic Studies offered through Tisch College and the Innovative Social Enterprise course offered through the Tufts Entrepreneurship Center. The remaining four courses include two from the approved Civic Studies list and two from the approved Entrepreneurship course list.

*As you decide whether this minor is right for you, keep in mind that the University rules limit to a total of two courses that can overlap between a minor and a major, the foundation requirements, or the distribution requirements.

Required Courses:

  • CVS 0020/PHIL 0020/PS 0020: Introduction to Civic Studies
  • ENT 141/AMER 0141: Innovative Social Enterprise
  • Two Additional Civic Studies Courses
  • Two Additional Entrepreneurship Courses  — Strongly recommended one of the following: ENT 194.03 Creativity, Innovation & Entrepreneurial Thinking or ENT 101 Entrepreneurship and Business Planning
