Internships

  • Earn full academic credit by working a minimum of 12 hours/week or 150 hours/semester.
  • Gain experience, make connections, explore career opportunities working with individuals, agencies or organizations (private, non-profit, or governmental), political advocacy or social movement groups.
  • Students choose an appropriate internship site based on their own interests and in consultation with the Director of the Program. Helpful information about internship opportunities is available at the Tufts Career Center
  • Students have a site supervisor as well as a faculty sponsor, with whom they meet during the course of the internship.
  • Typically, a written component is required for the completion of the internship. Details to be determined in consultation with the director of the program and/or the faculty sponsor.
  • The faculty sponsor grades the internship with input from the site supervisor.
