Ethics

All of our research intersects ethics, policy, and health services. Across our research areas, we examine the ethical implications of new policies and technologies on individual-level and population-level health and medical decision-making. In particular, our research examines priority setting and resource allocation for vulnerable populations. Topical areas include: ethics of organ allocation, the moral relevance of social networks in health care allocation, end-of-life decision-making, proxy decision-making, ethics of entitlements for immigrants, and ethical "nudges."
