Commencement and Transcript Information

Late February / Early March

IS Majors may elect which departmental or programmatic commencement ceremony they wish to attend. Most attend that to which their primary advisor is connected. Please indicate your choice in the SIS system by the Registrar's deadline. Students must also notify Amy Pendleton in CIS of their commencement plans.

Early May

Students provide the title for their IS major for transcript purposes via an email to Amy Pendleton. You are allotted 53 characters including spaces.

StARR Center Resources and Contacts

Students thinking about conducting a research project, such as a senior thesis, should be aware of the numerous support programs and opportunities that the Student Accessibility and Academic Resource (StAAR) Center provides around writing, presentation skills, time management, and other topics.

Tisch Library Resources

Tisch Library offers workshops regarding research, media, data, and how to cite sources. Workshop schedules are posted at the start of each semester.

Meet with a Tisch Librarian - Students are encouraged to meet with librarians individually to gain an increased awareness of relevant library resources, and learn how to use them as efficiently and effectively as possible.

The Digital Design Studio (DDS), housed within Tisch's Media Center, is a collaborative learning space for the creation of course-related multimedia projects including video, audio, imaging, and web publishing.
