Earn an Masters in our Fifth-Year Programs

Tufts University Department of Education offers undergraduate students an opportunity to pursue a Master of Arts in Teaching Degree or a Master of Arts in Museum Education by continuing their studies in a fifth-year program. 

Some of the highlights of this program include:

  • Students are able to double count up to two graduate-level courses from their undergraduate degree toward the requirements for the Masters Degree.
  • Students are able to reserve up to two graduate-level courses from their undergraduate coursework to count towards the Masters Degree.
  • The Graduate School of Arts and Sciences provides a graduate tuition scholarship proportional to the undergraduate tuition award at the time of application.
  • Those completing the fifth-year program resulting in a MAT will be endorsed for initial licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
