Undergraduate Programs

We offer both a major and a minor for undergraduate students as well as a broad range of courses focusing on both national and international politics. The department encourages interdisciplinary study, and our students can take courses in selected Tufts programs outside of the department for credit towards the major or minor.

Undergraduate Programs Undergraduate Admissions

Our students frequently participate in internships to combine the academic study of politics with practical work experience in the public or private sector in Massachusetts. Students also have the opportunity to study the U.S. government directly by pursuing an internship in Washington, DC through the Tufts in Washington program.
