Members of the Department are actively engaged in research. Awards and Prizes for Scholarship
AY 2020-2021
Professor and Dean of Academic Affairs for the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship & Public Service, and Lincoln Filene Professor of Citizenship & Public Affairs Peter Levine and Hilary Binda received a National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Grant for their work developing a civic studies curriculum for incarcerated individuals as part of the Tufts Prison Initiative of Tisch College (TUPIT).
Associate Professor Pearl Robinson was awarded the African Politics Conference Group’s Distinguished Africanist Prize for her career-long efforts researching, mentoring, and teaching about Africa, in Africa, and with African scholars.
Associate Professor Oxana Shevel was elected President of the American Association for Ukrainian Studies (AAUS) for 2019-2021 and was awarded a Research Fellowship at the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute (HURI) for Spring 2020 semester.
