Native American and Indigenous Studies
The concentration in Native American and Indigenous Studies (NAIS) offers intensive study in Native American and Indigenous histories, cultures, and politics. It introduces students to comparative settler colonialism studies and to the politics of Native American Studies as well as to global critical Indigenous studies and methodologies. The minor encourages attention to local tribal communities and activist research, in particular through its inclusion of a capstone internship option.
