Biography

Dr. Maritsa Barros is the inaugural full-time Lecturer in the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Justice Leadership Program at Tufts University. She has an educational background in psychology, counseling, African & African-American history, and she received a Doctorate of Education from Northeastern University with a focus on organizational leadership and her scholarship focused on the lived experiences of Chief Diversity Officers at PWIs in the Northeast. She is an active scholar practitioner serving as a consultant for DEIJ, an author of an eBook on How to Thrive on a PWI: 8 Key Factors, and is the Chief Operating Officer for Senavision, a family-owned multi-media production company. She is a proud mom of two, wife, a happy and blessed hue-man!
