- Personal statement (limit it to 2,500 words): Please describe your reasons for deciding to pursue graduate study in the field of leadership and provide us with insight into your area of research interest. Specifically, please respond to the prompts below:
- Please introduce yourself and share what compelled you to apply to the MA in Leadership program. In addition, talk about how you think this Tufts program will help you in the pursuit of your objectives.
- Describe an existing societal, organizational, or community-based problem that is of interest to you. Explain how your leadership perspective can help make a difference, create impact, or generate solutions for this problem. Include commentary on how your leadership philosophies or approach would also foster outcomes grounded in equity, fairness, and justice.
- Tell us about any theorists, practitioners, activists, or researchers who have influenced how you think about leadership. Provide examples of how these ideas can be applied or have been applied to real world contexts and problems. Share with us any related issues or topics that you would like to continue to study and learn more about.

We are aware of the complex conversation around the GRE with respect to diversity and graduate admissions. For this reason, our program does not require GRE scores.

Scholarship & Tuition
There are several types of financial aid available for Master's students through the university and through the program. We offer generous tuition scholarships, graduate assistantships, and work-study awards and loans through the Office of Financial Aid.
- All students who apply to the Leadership Master's program and request consideration for financial aid are eligible to receive tuition scholarships. If admitted to the Master's program, students will be notified of any departmental scholarship awarded upon receipt of their offer letter.
*The Certificate program is not eligible for federal loans or Tufts tuition scholarships. - All students are eligible to apply for many on-campus jobs, fellowships, and assistantships.
