Minor in Earth and Climate Sciences
The Minor in Earth and Climate Sciences is available to any undergraduate students in the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Engineering, regardless of primary major. Students may choose to minor in Earth and Climate Sciences to complement BS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, and Math, as well as BA degrees in Environmental Studies, International Relations, Sociology, Political Science, and Economics.
Program Requirements and Policies
- The Minor in Earth and Climate Sciences requires a total of 6 courses.
Course Requirements
The following three (3) courses are required:
- ECS 1: Introduction to the Earth, Resources, and Environments
- ECS 2: Introduction to the Earth, Resources, and Environments Lab
- ECS 3: Introduction to Climate Sciences
As well as any three additional ECS courses, only one of which can be at the introductory level (<ECS 010).
