Biography

Born in Chicago. Taught at Tufts since 1971; at the Middlebury Bread Loaf School of English (summer) since 1995; on-site director, Bread Loaf, Lincoln College, Oxford (2001-2, 2005-6, 2009-10); Lecturer, 92nd Street Y, 2022 and 2023.
