Collective Futures Fund (CFF), a program of the Tufts University Art Galleries (TUAG), is honored to announce receipt of a generous grant from the Barr Foundation in support of its 2026 grant cycle.

With the support of the Barr Foundation, the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts, and an anonymous donor, CFF will increase stipends for its three tiers—Sustaining Practice, Ongoing Platforms, and New Projects—as well as adding additional granting slots. As of 2026, CFF will have distributed over a half million dollars to the Greater Boston arts community since its inception.

CFF supports artists that challenge conventional understandings of art making, emphasize collaborations with community, and focus on investing in the Greater Boston cultural ecosystem. Barr’s mission to support creative potential to catalyze our community aligns with CFF’s mission to support artists at various stages of their careers to realize revolutionary projects in their communities. Barr’s mission outlines that “The arts are essential for just, vibrant, and thriving communities. The power of creativity is a force for transformation, creating vitality and amplifying the voices of those who are often unheard.” We at CFF couldn’t agree more; artists and culture workers are leaders in envisioning our collective futures.
