Tufts Joins the TDR Consortium

Tufts School of Arts and Sciences and its Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies (TDPS) are proud to announce that Tufts has joined the TDR Consortium, a group of leading universities whose faculty edit issues of TDR: The Journal of Performance Studies.

TDR is the leading academic journal focusing on all forms of performances—dance, theatre, music, visual art, media, popular entertainment, sports, ritual, etc.—in their social, economic, aesthetic, and political contexts. Written by and for scholars and artists–and their students–TDR is a premiere source of performance texts, performative writing, editorials, discussions of new books, performance reviews, and commentary. TDR is published by Cambridge University Press for the Tisch School of the Arts, New York University. The journal reaches almost 9,000 institutions globally.

The TDR Consortium began in 2011. Currently its members are Yale University, Brown University, and the Shanghai Theatre Academy. Former members are Princeton University and Stanford University. Tufts faculty members Pannill Camp, Kareem Khubchandani, and Paige McGinley will edit the Tufts TDR Consortium issues, and, in doing so, they will shape the growing field of performance studies.
