Biography
Samer graduated from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon, completing undergraduate (BS, Biology, 2014) and medical studies (MD, 2018).
Lab: NeuroCognition of Language Laboratory
Advisor: Gina Kuperberg
Area of study: Computational modeling in psycholinguistics
Current Research: Sam studies the role of predictive processes in language comprehension using experimental methods and computational modeling, both in healthy adults and patient populations.
Future Plans: Sam is interested in scaling up this approach to capture language acquisition/development phenomena; and to model certain deficits arising in neurodevelopmental disorders such as schizophrenia.
