Sara Anne Goring, PhD

Biography

Sara completed her PhD in Applied Cognitive Psychology at Claremont Graduate University in May 2023. Prior to that, Sara earned her MA in Psychological Sciences at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (2016), and her BA in Psychology/French from the University of Missouri Kansas City (2013).

Area of study: Statistical/mathematical modeling, psychometrics, semantic illusions, cognitive aging 
Current Research: Sara is a cognitive scientist with an additional focus on data analysis, statistical/mathematical modeling, and psychometrics. Other research interests include factors that influence semantic illusions and language processing, cognitive aging, and the role of cognitive abilities in user experience. 
Future Plans: Sara is a Postdoctoral Scholar at the Center for Applied Brain and Cognitive Sciences (Tufts School of Engineering), and Lecturer for the Department of Mathematics. She plans to continue doing research and teaching.
