Biography
Tufts ’24 Grad, worked in the Multisensory Perception Laboratory to understand how tactile temporal perception varied across the body.
Lab: Coordinator for both the Meta-Cognitive and Applied Memory Laboratory and Integrative Cognitive Neuroscience Laboratory.
Advisor: Dr. Thomas & Dr. Race
Area of study: Cognitive Psychology
Current Research: Sophia splits her time between the meta-Cognition and Applied Memory and Integrative Cognitive Neuroscience Labs. Currently she’s working on a project looking at how stress affects first responders’ retrieval of training memory and on a project looking at how misinformation is encoded and how that encoding influences memory performance and misinformation susceptibility using EEG.
Future Plans: To understand the mechanisms in the brain which allow us to have a subjective conscious experience through neuropsychological research in a graduate program.
