Biography
Dr. Fast is a full-time Lecturer in the psychology department at Tufts University. She received a PhD in Psychology at the University of Washington and BA in Psychology at Providence College. Prior to joining Tufts psychology in September 2024, Dr. Fast was as Associate Professor of Psychology at Western Washington University in Bellingham, WA.
Dr. Fast's program of research investigates human social and moral behavior, particularly in early childhood. Her research primarily explores the role of emotion in motivating children's generosity and social norm adherence. Dr. Fast is passionate about teaching and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in psychology. At Tufts, she teaches Statistics for Behavioral Sciences and courses in developmental psychology.
