Biography

Jada Copeland-Hayes, PhD, is a social psychologist and the Data and Impact Manager at Opportunity Boston, an initiative of The Boston Foundation focused on advancing education equity and strengthening the infrastructure that supports student success across Boston. Her research examines the structural forces that perpetuate discrimination and the experiences of minoritized groups, with a particular focus on Whiteness, intersectionality, and prototypicality biases in psychological research and social institutions. At Tufts, she has taught courses including Graduate Proseminar, Social Psychology, and Experimental Psychology, and is a proud Jumbo. She has experience in producing peer-reviewed publications, organizing and presenting at academic conferences, applying scientific findings to real-world settings, and contributing to research reports for nonprofit organizations.
