Jessica Babb, PhD
Biography
Dr. Babb is a Research Scientist in the Weera Laboratory and has been conducting behavioral neuroscience research in rodent models for more than 20 years. She received her PhD in neuroscience from the University of Colorado and then did postdoctoral fellowship at Tufts University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and Boston Children's Hospital before becoming an Instructor in Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School/VA Boston Healthcare System in 2018. Her research has focused on the influences of biological sex and hormones on brain function and behavior, particularly while under stress. More recently, her research has primarily investigated how stress, sex, and hormones can impact drug seeking behavior, particularly for opioids.
