Biography

Samantha earned her BS in Psychology from the Honors College at the College of Charleston in 2024. While there, she worked in Dr. Rhonda Swickert’s lab where she studied the effects of decentering meditation on academic stress and performance. She also headed her own research project/intervention where she studied how art impacts mood and used those findings to create a de-stressing intervention for her fellow students during finals week. Samantha is broadly interested in the intersection of design and psychology, and how the built environment impacts our mood states and cognition.
