Remembering George E. Smith, University Professor of Philosophy Emeritus

Tribute to George Smith, from the Department of Philosophy at Tufts University:

George has indefatigably contributed to the flourishing of his students, colleagues -- and to the academic world at large. The gold standard in Newtonian studies is set by his work; that same standard is set in historical/philosophical studies of the discovery of molecular reality.

Thank you, George Smith, for uniquely contributing to the life of the philosophy department at Tufts University for 45 years and for designing and teaching ground-breaking courses in Computation Theory, Climate science, and Newton.

And this isn't even the half of it. We will miss you.
