Graduation Ceremony

When a Tufts cosmology graduate student gets their Ph.D., their adviser drops an apple on their head in the hope that they might be inspired in the manner of Isaac Newton. The ceremony is performed in front of the "antigravity stone," which was given to Tufts in 1961 by Roger Babson, together with money that later was used to establish the Tufts Institute of Cosmology.
