Biography
Juliana Berte has worked for Tufts University, Department of Romance Studies, since 2003, teaching different levels of Advanced Composition and Conversation classes and Spanish for Heritage Speakers. She serves in the role of Liaison to the Department of Education for Spanish Teacher Certification, and works as pre-major, major and graduate level advisor.
She has also worked at the University of Massachusetts at Boston as Part-time Lecturer, and Senior Lecturer, where she taught elementary levels of Spanish both on campus and online.
Professor Berte is a member of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages, ACTFL Spanish for Heritage Learners Special Interest Group, American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese, the Online Learning Consortium and the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.
Previous work includes lecturing at the University of Minnesota and teaching High School level Spanish Literature classes in Argentina.
