Biography
I was born in Spain, where I grew-up, studied, and taught until I came to the US in 1988. I graduated from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid with a PhD in Spanish linguistics. I started teaching Spanish as a foreign language in 1983 at the Fundación Ortega y Gasset-Marañón, located in the beautiful Spanish city of Toledo. I came to The Ohio State University as an exchange instructor, and then moved to the Boston area in 1993. I taught and coordinated Spanish at Boston University for five years. In 2001 I was hired as lecturer and course administrator at Tufts. I love to teach my language and my culture; in particular, I enjoy to do so through the use of films from Latin America and Spain.
