Louise Bond (she/her) is a junior co-majoring in Sociology and Civic Studies, with a minor in Spanish. Her main academic interests are in carceral studies, sociology of race, punishment, and law, with great interest in studying Marxist sociology and the impact of religion on modern society. Her favorite Tufts sociology classes are The Masculine Mystique, Sociology of Law, and Sociological Theory.

Nika Lea Tomicic

Nika Lea Tomicic (she/her) is a junior majoring in Sociology and STS (Science, Technology, and Society). Nika Lea is interested in bridging the gap between technological innovation and its global implications using social science research. She is interested in urban sociology, sociology’s intersections with the STS field, and applying research methods to a nonprofit, union, and other real-world initiatives. Her favorite Sociology classes are Sociology of Culture and Media and Society.

Billy Zeng

Billy Zeng

Billy Zeng (he series) is a junior double majoring in RCD (Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora) Studies and Sociology. His main academic interests are in diasporic histories, Asian American studies, social movement studies, comparative ethnic studies, community-based praxis, and activist-scholar pedagogies. His favorite sociology class has been the Sociology of Asian Americans, and is looking forward to taking Qualitative Research Methods in the Fall 2023 semester with Professor Marrow to further explore local urban sociology and its formation with Greater Boston’s local immigrant communities.
