About the Starks Lab
Behavior is the observable outcome of evolutionary history, of mechanisms, and of developmental processes. As such, animal behavior is an enormous field. My research interests are broad, and typically focus on a number of topics related to the behavioral lives of honey bees, paper wasps, wool carder bees, and those organisms that live in or on these animals! I am a true believer in the scientific process, however. Accordingly, when armed with solid hypotheses and testable predictions, I sometimes explore topics tangential to the central themes of my research program.
