ENVS Student Funding

One of Environmental Studies' main priorities is to support students' professional development. This year we funded 5 ENVS students to conduct unpaid internship and research, attend conferences, and complete trainings. Here is an overview of the projects and recipients:

Amanda Lipari Maxson – Farmanfarmaian and Terry Family Scholarship Award – Conducting research with Dr. Ben Davies
Aubrey Rahaim – Charles River Watershed Association, Norton Nickerson Internship Award
Lux Trevelyan – The Native American Indian Center of Boston

Through the Career-Building Awards, we funded Adrian Huq, A24, to attend the Energy Independence Summit 2024 held in Washington, DC, hosted by the Transportation Energy Partners.

ENVS Initiatives/Events

13th Annual Environmental Photo Contest

Through our Undergraduate Environmental Photo Contest we invite all undergraduates to share their own interpretation of "environment". This year, we received 153 stunning photos. See top 3 photos here. Additionally, the top 10 photos will be displayed on the second floor of Barnum Hall for the next academic year.
