Undergraduates Rank Highly in International Mathematical Contest in Modeling

The Tufts team participating in this year’s undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling placed in the top 80 submissions out of more than 25,000 teams worldwide

Congratulations to the Tufts team participating in the 2019 Mathematical Contest in Modeling including Arts and Sciences students Rose Smith, A20, and Eleanor Jenke, A21, as well as Engineering student Samee Mushtak, E20. Their paper received the rank of Finalist, placing them in the top 80 submissions out of more than 14,000 teams worldwide. The team submitted a report responding to a prompt scenario presented by the contest on the hypothetical ecological ramifications if dragons were real and lived on Earth.
