Prepare for Graduation
As part of the graduation application and submission process, students must submit their signed graduation materials, which includes the FMS degree checklist(s), via the Tufts AS&E Student Apply for Graduation page.

Important deadlines
November 20, 2024: Complete and submit FMS degree checklist (see process below)
November 30, 2024: Complete and submit graduate application package to student services
Major degree checklist process
- Meet with your advisor to review degree requirement courses.
- Complete major degree checklist, requires advisor and course requirement details, including semester and grade details. The form will be automatically sent to your advisor and then the FMS Director for approval. Allow 3-5 business days for processing.
- Receive a PDF of the approved major degree checklist.
- Submit approved minor major degree checklist with your graduation packet.
Minor degree checklist process
- Complete minor degree checklist including semester and grade details. The form will be automatically sent to your advisor and then the FMS Director for approval. Allow 3-5 days for processing.
- Receive a PDF of the approved minor degree checklist
- Submit approved minor degree checklist with your graduation packet.
Notes on required courses
- If you are planning on taking a required course in the spring, please include that class on the checklist.
- Please note that some course numbers changed in 2022; please use the number that appears on your transcript.

Notes on the graduation application process
- Students must apply to graduate in SIS before they can submit their graduation packet
- A complete Liberal Arts Graduation Packet includes the following components:
- Student Degree Audit
- Signed Major and Minor Checklist(s)
At this time, the Student Degree Audit is only used to verify foundation and distribution requirements for graduation. The degree audit serves as a guide for major requirements, but the final certification for majors and minors is based on the submitted major or minor checklist(s).
