Ten-Year Celebration and Fundraising Initiative
The CJ Saraceno Memorial Scholarship is marking a decade of its existence. Over the past ten years, it has provided valuable internship opportunities in Los Angeles for students who might not have otherwise had the chance during their college years. Bona Fide Productions has been actively involved for the entire duration, contributing to this meaningful initiative. Additionally, for a decade now, alumni and current students have been building relationships and networking based on their common Saraceno internship experience.
On Tuesday, Nov. 7 in Los Angeles, the Tufts film community came together to screen Bona Fide Productions, "Somewhere in Queens" followed by a Q&A with writer/director Ray Romano facilitated by Tasha Oren, Tufts Film and Media Studies Program Director. Oren also discussed the impact of the CJ program on students over the past decade. Bona Fide Productions are the generous hosts of the yearly internship funded by the scholarship. The fundraising event raised funds to ensure that the program runs for another ten years!

About the Internship
The CJ Saraceno Memorial Scholarship and internship provides financial support and transformational experiences to enterprising, creative Tufts students who might otherwise be unable to pursue work opportunities in Los Angeles. Each summer, one student is selected from a pool of applicants to intern at Bona Fide Productions, the award-winning company behind Little Miss Sunshine, Nebraska, and many other films and projects, including the HBO series The Leftovers.
This internship was established in memory of CJ Saraceno, A11, a passionate creator who challenged the status quo. The scholarship is funded by alumni, friends, and family members who cared about CJ – as well as those who were inspired by him.
