Biography

Matthew Gudgeon is an Assistant Professor at Tufts University and IZA research affiliate. He received his Ph.D. in Economics from Boston University. Prior to joining Tufts, he worked as an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Social Sciences Department at West Point. His research in labor economics, public economics, and political economy uses applied econometrics to evaluate and inform public policy. His work includes studying the returns to military service, how workers and firms respond to tax and benefit policies, and conflict.
