Tutoring Resources and Academic Coaching

• StAAR Center (Student Accessibility Services and the Academic Resource Center): offers free tutoring and assistance with research, organizing ideas, or writing. StAAR undergraduate tutors also provide small group tutoring for Economics EC 5, 8, 11, 12, 13 and 50. StAAR Center Coaching Program provides additional services including:
  • One-on-one academic coaching for students who need to develop academic skills (time management, study strategies, reading and note-taking strategies, etc.)
  • Academic Skills Workshops
  • Subject Tutoring for introductory level courses

• Tisch Library Support for Research and Data Analysis (including STATA):

• STATA Tutor
  Spring 2025 schedule for help from the Economics STATA TA:
  Ms. Maysam Hassan will conduct the following STATA help sessions in JCC 533 (from 27 January through 23 April 2025) on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4:30-6:30 pm.  Please allow 24 hours for an answer from tutor.

• Spring 2025 schedule for help from the Economics Ec 11 Tutor:
  Mr. Henry Portman will conduct the following Ec 11 help sessions in JCC 533 (from 29 January through 30 April 2025) on Wednesdays at 12:00-2:00 pm.  Please allow 24 hours for an answer from the tutors. 

  Mr. Ethan Schreier will contact the following Ec 11 help session in JCC 533 (from 28 January through 1 May 2025) on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 12:00-1:00 pm.  Please allow 24 hours for answer from the tutors.

   

   

• Spring 2025 schedule for help from Economics Ec 12 Tutor:
  Mr. Usman Naeem will conduct the following Ec 12 help sessions in JCC 533 (from 23 January through 24 April 2025) on Thursdays at 9:00-11:00 am and Friday at 9:00-11:00 am.  Please allow 24 hours for an answer from the tutor.
