Professor of Occupational Therapy Nancy Baker edited a new book entitled Immersive Virtual Rehabilitation (Routledge 2026) with co-editors Joanne Baird and Megan Kenney. The book is a practical and comprehensive guide for implementing immersive virtual reality (VR) into rehabilitation practice, and provides an accessible overview of VR technology alongside a how-to guide for its application across different patient populations and healthcare settings. The book is geared towards rehabilitation practitioners across occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral health, and speech-language pathology, as well as practice managers interested in using VR in clinical practice.
