Admissions

Application Process

Tufts Department of Occupational Therapy seeks to enroll a diverse class of students who have a combination of academic excellence, personal integrity, and enthusiasm as well as the capacity to perform essential functions necessary for a career in occupational therapy.

We seek students who, by virtues of their background, achievement and experience, can contribute to the education of their peers and to the scholarship and practice of the field of OT. We encourage applicants from all disciplines to apply and we do not favor any particular undergraduate major. Some common undergraduate majors include, but are not limited to, studies in psychology, sociology, ethics, the arts, child/human development, education, sciences, philosophy, and allied health professions.

Much like the field of occupational therapy, the Department of Occupational Therapy takes a holistic approach when reviewing each application. We are seeking well rounded, versatile students that will go on to become great clinicians, researchers, educators and leaders in the field of OT.
