Welcome to the Department of Occupational Therapy
Situated within the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, our programs allow students to become compassionate and competent therapists and leaders in the field while pulling from the history of our profession steeped within liberal arts. We are proud to be ranked among the top 10 occupational therapy programs in the nation by U.S. News & World Report and continue to cultivate top quality therapists.
Through education, research, and practice, students participate in meaningful activity ("occupation") of individuals, and embrace communities and populations with diverse needs and experiences. Doctoral and master's degree programs are offered as well as certificates of advanced study. Graduates of the programs are prepared for work as practitioners, administrators, researchers, educators and leaders.
Tufts University Department of Occupational Therapy has a strong foundation in research and scholarship that uses innovative, interdisciplinary approaches to increasing quality of life and participation across the lifespan.
