I am a practicing occupational therapist specializing in evaluation and intervention for individuals with complex medical needs and significant cognitive impairments. My clinical experience spans pediatric and physical dysfunction practice areas, including within medical model, private special education day school, adult day habilitation, and community based occupational therapy practice. As an occupational therapy supervisor, I have experience in occupational therapy management and interdisciplinary team management, as well as an interest in staff development and education.
My O.T.D. research focused on understanding the professional communication profile and needs of emerging occupational therapists, as compared to the perspective of occupational therapist managers, through the lens of generational theory. This research aimed to support managers and educators in meeting the communication needs of emerging occupational therapists to foster professional development.
