Minor in German
The Minor in German offers students the opportunity to attain a thorough knowledge of the language, literature, and general culture.

Program Requirements and Policies
- 6 courses are required for the Minor in German.
- Minor Forms, once submitted, will be sent to the Program Director, Markus Wilczek, for approval. After it has been approved, you will receive a copy of the approved form. Submit the approved checklist along with your Student Degree Audit and any additional signed major and /or minor checklists to Student Services through the electronic submission portal.
- If substitutions are made, it is the student’s responsibility to make sure the substitutions are acceptable to the Department of International Literary & Cultural Studies.

Course Requirements
- 6 courses above the intermediate level (GER 4). These must include:
- GER 121
- One 100-level course taught in German at Tufts in Medford (either GER 175, 178, or 182).
