After graduating from Barry University with a BA in art history, I went on to earn my master's degree in art history from John Cabot University in 2021 with a special focus on Roman wall painting in the Bay of Naples area. I gained gallery administration experience by working as the director of the Kendall Art Cultural Center, a private collection of modern and contemporary art before deciding to pursue a teaching career in history and the Classics at Tufts. I am primarily interested in Roman art and material culture, ancient jewelry, mythology, and the way these stories continue to endure in our modern world. Outside of my studies, you can find me at a museum, reading a good book, or planning my next trip.

I graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a BA in Greek in 2022. In 2023, I took a gap year, during which I hiked the Appalachian Trail. I started on March 13th at Springer Mountain in Georgia, and after 5.5 months, I summited Mt. Katahdin in Maine on August 26th, having covered a distance of 2,200 miles on foot! My interests within Classics include language and poetry, particularly Greek Lyric poetry. Recently, I have developed an interest in paleoclimate and paleoenvironmental studies. I've worked in outdoor education for over a decade and enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, such as hiking, biking, climbing, canoeing, and kayaking. In my spare time, I like reading, playing video games, and engaging in tabletop games.

Before coming to Tufts, I graduated from the College of William and Mary with distinguished degrees in Classical Archaeology and Biology. My undergraduate honors thesis entitled, "The Realities of Rape: Understanding the Foundations of a Woman’s Space in Ancient Greece and Rome," explored the prevalence and consequences of sexual violence within societies determined by strict gender roles. Laws, medical and philosophical texts, and historical accounts were used to analyze how a woman's place in society and her family was influenced by the threat and action of sexual violence. Now in my postgraduate studies, I explore further questions of gender, sexuality, and performance of identity through the material world. My current thesis, "From Brothel to Bathhouse: New theories on the composition and display of erotic frescos in Pompeii," broadly examines the role of art in archaeologically determining a space's function. Artistic choice, which we have deemed sexual, in a larger ancient experiential intertext is far more complex and reveals ancient Roman performance of gender, sexuality, and conspicuous consumption. My interests include: Ancient Mediterranean archaeology, GSWS in antiquity, Roman and Egyptian cultural history.

Prior to pursuing an MA at Tufts, I graduated summa cum laude with a dual degree - an AB in Classics and a BA in Archaeology - from the College of Charleston in 2023. I then worked intermittently in Greece as an excavator and Assistant Supervisor at the Athenian Agora Excavations. My main area of interest is in Digital Archaeology, specifically through the use of GIS, photogrammetry, and 3D modeling. Using digital archaeology, I focus on the changing landscapes of the ancient Mediterranean.
